In the Italian village of Scansano, where you’ll find the highly regarded Morellino di Scansano wine, University of Pennsylvania anthropologist Patrick McGovern announced the discovery of what he calls “grog,” the first cocktail ever discovered, made in Mesopotamia 5,000 years ago, consisting of wine, beer, apple juice and honey.” Read More: AGI Online.
