Martha Bakerjian and James Martin welcome you to our blog, a weblog about living, eating and traveling in Italy.
We live part time in a small village in the Lunigiana region of Tuscany. The Lunigiana, like the Abruzzo and Sardinia, is a region that holds fast to ancient traditions, and hasn’t collapsed to the desires of tourists. Yes, there are some, but they tend not to be people searching for McDonalds and Starbucks.
We hope to introduce you to the stories and festas of this interesting corner of Italy, as well as pointing out the differences between living in California and living in Piano di Collecchia.
