Over the thirty years or so I’ve been visiting Italy, it has occurred to me that Americans have a pretty set picture of the typical Italian driver and fear driving the Autostrade of Italy because of the outrageous lengths Italians will go to actually get somewhere in the least amount of time.
On the other hand, if Italian drivers don’t “drive right” according to our prejudices, when why isn’t there a single document on the web that provides a step-by-step guide to driving the American way?
Well, Sally-Joy Robertson has provided one. She’s got God on her side, as many Americans seem to think they have, and she would be the first to tell you that it is imperative that Italians get some “road redemption” by learning the ways of our people on the highways and byways of our great land.
