Well, to answer the question in the title, yes indeed. I just poked my camera outside my kitchen window toward Enrico’s waterlogged orto and snapped a couple of his maple tree. His pruning job has made him the laughing stock of our part of the village, but the hacked-up tree is pretty in the fall nonetheless.
And you’ll notice a bit of sun on those leaves. After what we’ve been through, this filtered bit of light is enough to make the spirits soar, the wine taste a little better, and the election results from America—where it appears the witless drones have won—drift into the background.
