Olive Harvest Time in the Lunigiana

Lunigiana wine is in the bottles, and the time has come for harvesting olives. My neighbor Enrico has an ulivetto with one of the best views around.

He uses a sort of big set of pasta tongs, which vibrates, to shock the olives into popping off the branches and settling into the orange netting laid out below. For the heroic-looking Enrico and friends, this is a three day job.

If I am one of the friends, maybe harvesting olives turns out to be a three day job.
