Ah, la Bella Vita! Well, if you like Liguria (and I do), Bella Vita in Liguria is the name of a new blog from Megan, who operates Bella Vita Italia – Your Personal Concierge for Italy.
Having someone plan your vacation, especially if you don’t know the language, might be a good idea. Most folks have so little time for vacation, wasting it trying to figure out the train, or a menu, might easily ruin your experience.
There is a special kind of light in Liguria that attracts me. This November I drove around the “peninsula” formed by the Bocca di Magra in the east to the Golfo di La Spezia in the west around to Lerici. I got some great pictures, which I hope to post soon.
We had a great seafood pasta course at Il Frantoio in Lerici. Off season they close early: 2:30 and the kitchen was closed by the time we were ready for the main event.
