The Academy of Chocolate in London recently held its first annual World Chocolate Awards.
Italy, and specifically Tuscany, did very well indeed. A dark chocolate from Pisa, Amedei Chuao, took top honors.
According to ANSA.IT:
The silver medal was awarded jointly to two other products from Tuscan master chocolate-makers Tessieri, Amedei 9 and Amedei Porcelana .
“A jury of chocolatiers and experts dubbed Amedei Chao king of chocolates ‘because of its fruity flavour and unique character’.”
