Hot Technology in Italy · Feb 6, 10:39 AM by James Martin

Ok, so what if you had a device the size of a cell phone, but you could “unwrap” a screen from it and read the newspaper, coming to you in real time? Sure, the screen is small, but it’s much bigger than the lcd on a cell phone.

Telecom Italia and Polymer Vision announce the CELLULAR-BOOK

And then there’s the Ricoh 500SE GPS-ready digital camera. I don’t know about you, but I have a ton of old Kodachrome slides I’ve taken of places in Europe that I can’t actually identify. What a kick it would be to have GPS data for each picture. AND the camera has a 28mm lens; wide angle is most useful for us travel photogs. It’s available right now only in Europe. I want one.
